xt660ztenereside.jpgHere at HFL, we’re pretty clumsy. So clumsy that we’ve actually broken bones on limbs already in casts. So it should come as no surprise that we’ve dropped a bike or two in our time. A brand new Benelli TnT in the parking lot of their UK importer still ranks as the most embarrassing. It should go without saying that we like bikes with built-in crash protection.

The Tenere features two plastic panels on each side that should be among the first parts to touch down in a crash. They’re easily replaceable and should, if they work as promised, save you hundreds of dollars in the event of a low-speed crash or no-speed drop. Why all bikes don’t come with something similar, we’ll never understand.

Of course, we also like the classic font and red and black speed block graphics. Actually, we just like this bike’s design in general. The Tenere’s official launch video follows the jump.
