Usually when a manufacturer makes its first “supermoto,” you need to put quotes around it. Because really what they’re making is a strangled supermoto-style, insurance-friendly urban commuter. Witness Honda’s FMX650 and the Yamaha XT 660 SM. But not Hyosung. While the RX450SM isn’t quite a race-ready KTM, it does have a 50 bhp 450cc single, upside down forks, wavy brake disks and weighs just 120kgs. We also admire its clean, elegant, graphics-free bodywork. Here’s hoping the Korean company can keep this up.
