CCM releases CR-40 single-cylinder café racer

Dailies -

CCM-CR-40.jpgWe talked with Roland Sands about how cool a single-cylinder café racer would be — something that combined a modern motocross engine and road suspension with classic looks. Well, it looks like CCM has already built that bike. The CR-40 uses a 400cc 4-stroke that makes 40bhp. The engine sits in a steel cradle frame under a hand-polished tank. The whole thing weighs 120kg. We want one.

beautiful. but i dont think id want to be hunched over for a 400cc city bike riding light to light. how about a mini gp with ape hangers and motocross suspension…DONT STEAL MY IDEA!

I want one, too. How come it’s only available in the UK? Why can’t any of the eight or ten 450 single engine manufacturers put one of these together for the rest of us?
