Harley-Davidson Skyline helmets are designed for women

Skyline 2 LR.jpgHarley claims its new Skyline range of helmets is the first specifically designed for women. Unlike other companies, that doesn’t simply mean they’ve just painted them pink or plastered them with tribal flowers. They’ve actually altered the construction and shape of the shell and liner to specifically cater to a female head shape. 10mm deeper than standard helmet shells, the Skylines should fit better around the forehead and at the rear than traditional helmets, while an anti-static fabric liner and ponytail notch claim to make helmet hair less of an issue. The cheek and side pads are also available in a range of sizes, making the Skyline’s fit nearly custom. A full-face helmet isn’t included in the Skyline range. Baby steps people, baby steps.

Wes, this helmet will probably be good for you too. What with your long hair and all.

I bought a Skyline with the face shield that pulls down. The fit was great but had trouble from the thrid time I went out on it. The face sheild kept popping off. One side and then the other. I took it back to the Harley dealer I bought it from and all the girl could do was put the shiled back on. The last straw was when it popped off on Highway 1 that runs next to the ocean. There are very few palces to pull over. It’s becoming a safety issue. Again I went back to the dealer to be told that I need to buy a new helmet. After paying $200.00 for this one to find out Harley nor the manfucture will back it up. I no longer will buy another harley helmet.
