The guys behind Sideburn magazine describe themselves as “club racing dirt track nobodies.” While not quite true, it sums up the magazine’s perspective perfectly. Written and shot from the viewpoint of obsessive insiders, it’s inspired by fanzines but put together with the studied professionalism of media veterans, which is what Ben and Gary are.

Flat Track is an aspect of the motorcycle world that’s largely ignored
next to glitzier supercross racing or the big money of MotoGP and SBK.
But with exciting races, easy entry and its own unique riding style,
it’s being increasingly tipped as the next big thing. Think of it as
being where Supermoto was in the ’90s.

For this first issue, Ben and Gary have found inspiration in countries
like The Netherlands, Australia and even here in the US. Bringing
together the bikes, the people and the history that makes Flat Track
unique. We’re looking forward to issue two.
