Miglia: Alpinestars' latest riding shoe

Alpinestars_Miglia.jpgThe new Alpinestars Miglia riding shoe won’t offer the protection of its SMX-R range-topping race boots. But by providing a modicum of torsion and abrasion resistance, in addition to anti-slip soles and gearshift reinforcement, they will prove a better alternative to other casual footwear for riders looking for something to wear on shorter rides where more time is spent at the location than on the bike. The drawstring closure should prove both comfortable and capable of keeping them on a rider’s feet during a crash.

These would be so awesome if they didn’t have the giant logo across the sides. Everything else, even the brown, is very organic, modern, and restrained in terms of motorcycle gear. I love Aplinestars as far as proper equipment and protection goes. I just wish they wouldn’t be so gaudy with plastering their giant logos everwhere. Then I could wear it in public without feeling like an embarrassed teenage squid.

Triumph’s got a similar casual black shoe like that, and the logo is very tasteful
