Motorcycle, an 81-minute black and white film by Paul Gordon that premiered at Slamdance 2006, looks at three people and their interactions through the changing ownership of the film’s lead vehicle — a Honda CB750. Beginning with Christopher Pratt, who purchases the bike, it progresses to Paula Rester, who steals it, and then onto Brandi Perkins, who receives it from Paula as a gift. Gordon intentionally creates a banal and unremarkable story, but the film’s emphasis lies not within the motorcycle itself, but in the nature of the characters’ interactions through it. A preview follows the jump.
