2009 Husqvarna TC 250 gets ultra-compact engine

Dailies -

2009_Husqvarna_TC_250.jpg13 percent smaller than 250cc, four-stroke single-cylinder competitors, the new Husqvarna motocross engine weighs just 22kg, leading to an overall dry weight of a scarcely believable 92kg. To achieve this, the engine makes use of radically thin cases and titanium radial valves. Other details of the Italian motocrosser are scarce, but like the 2009 Husqvarna TE 310 and TE 450 enduros, expect it to make use of high-spec Marzocchi forks and a Sachs shock. Limited production will begin later this year.

That’s just so freakin’ awesome, 202 pounds! I wonder if they’ll offer it as a dual sport.

I hope this is just the beginning of BMW’s investment strategy: Put more R&D dollars in Husky and get out of the way.

The Husqvarna dealer here in Pueblo Co said they received their Husky order form with new model info yesterday, and will now be able to place orders for 09s. He also said delivery after the order takes 3 to 4 weeks, sounds about right.

This bike is the best looking bike that i have saw since the KTM 950 came out. I really like the new sleek look and it doesnt have alot of red in it,(interesting). What I really want to know, is the price. Cant wait until I get one.
