Death Valley presents a number of unique challenges to motorcyclists. Not only is the nearest hospital 140 miles away in Las Vegas, but getting there would require an airlift. Without cell phone reception, calling that helicopter in and communicating your exact location would be challenging to say the least, especially if you’re unconscious. Additionally, temperatures there range above 100 degrees for an average of 138 days annually, meaning staying hydrated and cool are equally important to safety. The best way to ameliorate these risks is to equip yourself with the best off-road gear available.
