Transformers 2: Devastator is giant motorcycle

The trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen premiered during last night’s Super Bowl. In it, you can clearly make out an extremely large robot engaged in battle with Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots. That Decepticon is Devastator, an as yet unseen (in the live action movies) combiner robot made up of seven Constructicons.

Transformers enjoys a longer and more convoluted history than its most
well known form, the animated series, would suggest. As such, the
origins of Devastator aren’t exactly clear to this n00b. It appears
that Devastator was originally the combined form of six Construticons –
a bulldozer, excavator, front-load shovel, crane, dump truck and
concrete mixer — who were originally good, but were made evil by
Megatron, the Decepticon leader. While those individual parts were
capable of transforming from robots to vehicles, Devastator was not.

In Transformers 2, it appears that Devastator is
not only capable of transforming into some sort of giant motorcycle,
but that he’s also made up of seven different Constructicons. One of
those, possibly Bonecrusher or Scrapper, appears to use the world’s
biggest hydraulic shovel, the Terex RH400, as its vehicle mode. A robot
built from seven vehicles of this size would be enormous, as confirmed
by the trailer.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be released on June 26. Time for me to go play some team sports or something.

    Plainly a great deal of unpleasantness is transpiring as a result of the activities of this reconstituted motorcycle, which leads me to wonder what it might be.

    Norton Rotary? Kawasaki triple? Yamaha XS1100? Aprilia RS Cube?

    finally saw the trailer (not hugely informative, but, it’s transformers). MAYbe better than the first one. mebbe not. hope springs eternal.

    This new devastator sucks in my opinion. Devastator wasn’t some crappy motor cycle. He was a combiner with “LEGS” and “ARMS”. Not some crappy wheel and claws. I was excited to see devastator in the movie, but after this crap, i don’t even want to see the movie anymore.

      Thats not the Fallen. The Fallen is completely different. If you watch the trailer, the Fallen is the one that comes from underwater. It is not the Fallen in this picture.

    It seems like a bit much to have The Fallen AND Devastator in this movie, I think Ryan is right that it is The Fallen, strange as this may seem. But either way I will be there opening night for this movie!

    Devastator is formed by combining Scavenger, Hightower, Long Haul, Mix Master, Rampage, Scrapper, and Overload.

    You are absolutely right, that’s only one of them! But neverthless that one is bigger that Optimus Prime itself! If they combine together none of autobots might be compared to Devastator. They’d already had a big nut to crack wits “misspelled” Devastator (Brawl) in first movie. I guess Transformers 2 will be at least two lenghts of field better that the new G.I.Joe movie… They can digitalize robots but have to cast real actors…

    That’s definatley not Devastator. But you get a good look him in the newest trailer toward the end sucking up sand and a robot or two in the desert.

    firstly have any of u wankshafts actually done more than an hours research on transformers 2,
    because a)that is demolisher and he was missed out from the first movie because of a limited deadline.
    b)devestator is a giant vacuum-cleaner of a decepticon.
    c)and the fallen is a power hungry dictator, with megatron as his ever obiedient decipal.
