SpeedyMoto combines sex appeal, practicality for Ducati superbike rearsets

Check out the delicate machining on these rearsets from Ducati specialist SpeedyMoto. Made to fit the Ducati 1198, 1098, 848, 999 and 749, they’re fully adjustable on the bike; that includes lever throw, handy for eliminating false neutrals. The footpegs are hinge-mounted to avoid breaking the frame tabs in a crash. Damage the rearsets in a crash and SpeedyMoto will sell you replacement parts to save you money. They’ll suit Ducati riders tired of cramped legs but who need more ground clearance.

I never rode a bike that didn’t have hinged pegs.

    They look nice

      A lot of rearsets don’t.

Oh great. Pay $20k for a bike that needs after market pegs. They look cheesy.

I don’t think any bikes really need aftermarket rearsets. I personally don’t think they look cheesy at all, but it’s hard to say if I like them unless I can see them on the bike.

With a 34″ inseam I actually have a lot of trouble getting comfortable on Ducati superbikes. It’ not a space or flexibility thing, it’s just a geometry issue. Being able to adjust the position of the footpegs by a centimeter or two makes a big difference.

I used to not see the need for rear sets until I rode an identical r6 with them, raised all the way up. I’m 5′-9″ and boy do they make a huge difference in handling for me.
