Earlier this year Red Bull hosted the inaugural FMX camp. A select group of young, up and coming riders — Levi Sherwood, Rob Adelberg, Lance Coury and Myles Richmond — were invited to receive tutelage from leading FMX stars Mat Rebaud, Robbie Maddison and Ronnie Renner, led by jump veteran Drake McElroy. The idea was to develop the new talent into world-beaters. It worked; Levi Sherwood won the initial round of Red Bull X-Fighters in Mexico City.

I like this site and the content but man, viewing pics in this format is a pain in the ass. Any way to get it so that the pics show up in the larger screen when scrolling through the small pics below? It is super slow to look through the pics this way as you have to reload the page, please the pics are small….
seems like the format of this online mag could be done better.

You wanna see pictures? You gotta see ads. You want we should break your legs?

Seriously, it works fine and fast on my computer, if it’s slow on yours then upgrade.

chill out broski…dont act like an assbag now..just a little feed back from a “customer”
did not care about the ads btw
just looking for a better picture viewing experience…
dont know if it is possible since I dont maintain a website magazine or anything but it is nice when the images dont require a full reload of the page…
    for example:
straight string of pics if better
    or something fancy like this:
where you can play a slide show…
(yes I was looking for a gift, dont spend a lot of time of jewerly websites)

    any how…
my computer is a $2500 lenovo thinkpad from a year ago so I dont need to upgrade…just think the layout of your site is crap-tasic despite the interesting material.

Refreshing the page, refreshes the ads. Sadly we aren’t able to offer a really cool online motorcycle magazine as a charity for you. You get it for free, but we need to earn money, your price is refreshing ads.

Of course we’ll move towards towards something more advanced with the next redesign, but for the time being this is what works for us. Both of the examples you cite are unable to serve wallpaper size images, while failing to do anything beyond cycling through images.

Instead of complaining, why don’t you contribute? Send us story ideas and suggestions to

  • dave

Ok, did not know you needed to refresh to get paid, thought it just needed to be up on your page…get that part now.

tell you one thing though, if I treated my patients as you comment to your readers, I would not be a doc.

…”upgrade”, “complaining” and “as a charity for you” (half my work is charity in this country btw)are not what I want to hear when I am giving you a suggestion/asking a question on your mag.

As your project expands, you may want to consider some professionalism as your sponsors/advertisers may view your site unfavorably.

as far as contributing, I might sometime but I got enough goin’ on that I can’t worry about raising your refresh numbers…

    good luck

    I second Dave’s comments on the pics but . . .

I love the website and it has some of the best content on the web. I ALWAYS check even befor my email!

Keep up the good work and thanks.

Yes I too rarely look at the pictures here because it sucks. I do understand that your format is set, but I haven’t seen an advertisement in 2 weeks so I am guessing there aren’t any. This would explain a lack of funding for your reformating and an on edge Wes Siler. Content is good I like to keep up with the other brands and what have you in the industry. I think the website could definately use a forum, and race stats for all kinds of motorcycle racing. Remember perception is everything.

Such an inspiration. I currently have some complications with my organization and today was not an simple evening to get as a result of it but at the finish of this day I’m really glad I’ve read this story. Every single when in the even though when I need motivation I just come right here and read new and old stuff and that keeps me going forward.
