We’re headed to Laguna Seca for MotoGP on a 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 and an Aprilia Tuono R. From now through Monday we’ll be tracking the trip via Twitter. Expect plenty of pictures, observations and trackside news and interviews. The best part? You don’t even need to have a Twitter account to follow us, our live feed is below. See you there?

Thanks to everyone who participated, we’re back in New York.

Have fun on the Peninsula. Check out the London Bridge Pub that’s right on the Monterey Bay, it’s my favorite bar next to the Shadow Box in Seaside.

Really great updates along the way! I love all the pics you’ve been posting. I usually find Twitter annoying, but this is the perfect vehicle for it. Very exciting race, too

Thanks for the pics and updates! Also, great example of how Twitter is a useful tool. Hope more motorcyclists join the already strong mc community on Twitter.

Hey Guys, enjoyed the twitter&twitpic updates! Can you follow the GP around the globe and do it every round? (and can I come?)
    :P

I watched the Speed Channel’s coverage of the AMA Laguna race. They need advice on proper media coverage of that unique track…

They seemed to miss the full coverage of the corkscrew every single lap…the camera location, zoom proximity, and angle were all wrong. Anyone new to the sport would not even know the full challenge of that part of the course because Speed did not cover it properly at all.

And, what is with “same day coverage” when it is aired during the last hours of the day? NASCAR “Race Day” dorky game show crap is more important

I think it would of taken every fiber of my being not to bust out into hyper-esctatic convulsions by being that close to Rossi.

Where was Speed at for this one? I couldn’t catch it all on the boob tube.

All 2 US races are broadcast on major networks complete with d-bag American announcers Schwantzy and the fake accent Sham-wow guy.. Fox had laguna..

British Eurosport had 1h 30m coverage of Laguna; 30 minutes of interviews and buildup and with no commercials during the race.
