Before each US GP at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Randy Mamola takes a select few riders around the track on his specially modified Ducati Desmosedici GP6. We tagged along as his passengers got ready for the ride of their lives.

Within 4 second of ’09 GP bikes!?! Jebus, that’s incredible. I have seen Randy do amazing stoppies (they are called stoppies now right, not endos?) with the passenger begging god for it to be over.

    Where do I sign up?

And do those Ducati race suits have a built-in diaper?

i cant say iv never done it, but i can say i hate riding as a passenger on a bike, i hate not having any control and think the feeling is completely different as to when the bike is doing what your thinking and it feels as one with you, i think that if youve only ridden as a passenger and never drove a bike you have absolutely no idea how it feels. although riding on a motogp no matter how has to be incredibly great, i wouldnt pass on a chance to do that.

Oh and Crosstie, i hope for the sake of Randy the suits have built in them not only a diaper but also some sort of chastity belt, who knows what can happen if you get to ride that bike.

Agreed on riding as a passenger, but in this case I’d do it because it’s the only time I’ll ever hit a corner at 160…

I’m not too worried about the lack of chastity belt – pretty sure my nuts would be somewhere up around my sternum the whole time!

Laping within 4 sec of ’09 times on an ’06 bike with a passenger just shows what a hero Mamola still is. And he’s a small guy, just barely tiptoeing that Duc.
The shots of Ben Bostrom dragging knee from the pillion in ’06 was priceless!
