Wrenchmonkees #7: Husqvarna x Harley

Little separates this custom Sportster from every other hardtail out there, but what little does make it different somehow makes it very different. The Husqvarna CR tank’s european shape and blocky graphics have nothing to do with peanuts, metal flake, strips of hide, affected rust, airbrushed wizards fighting grizzly bears, sweet boobage, crying eagles, stars ‘n stripes or chrome plate. That juxtaposition between the tank and the custom archetype is enough to elevate Wrenchmonkees #7 beyond its faux tracker roots. Specs below.

Gorgeous, looking at that makes me wish my XLCH wasn’t sitting in a garage 100 miles away.

I love what these guys do with a bike.

I’m still in awe of the simplicity of that Guzzie from a few weeks ago.

I’ve got a 1970 Honda 350 Scrambler that I’d love to have them go to town on…

Their bikes are the best. Whatever they do, nothing seems out of place or cobbled together. They just seem to have the perfect look, for me anyways. I’d like to see them do a Honda CX500 in the style of Moto Guzzi you posted before.

    “airbrushed wizards fighting grizzly bears”

My track plastics now have a theme.

Europe don’t need no Deus Ex Machina, they have Wrench Monkees

  • Charlie

Great stuff…a Sportster I could actually own

What is truely cool about this bike is that Husqvarna USED to build a big V-twin road bike back in the 1930s. IIRC it used a JAP (J.A. Prestwich) enginge from England.

That is incredible. WrenchMonkees usurp Deus Ex for best-in-world, to me. Just exudes class and simplicity.

  • Himbo

And today only for the price of 20 thousend and 852 dollars and 70 cents.

I love wrenchmonkees stuff but I have to say I prefer Deus “Evil Twin” to this one. Or the WM Gorillapunch, which has to be one of the best looking bikes I’ve seen…

Read about this bike, from the Wrench Monkees’ own perspective – in issue 4 of Sideburn out in early October.

I dont understand the hype about this bike, it is awful. WrenchMonkees have made better bikes than this, oh well i only live about 2 miles from them in CPH i think ill pay them a visit, and to find out “what the Hell is going on”
