Oh noes! Piaggio web intern strikes again, V7 Clubman Racer just a concept

We went over the moon during EICMA when we read the first line of the official press release for the Moto Guzzi V7 Clubman Racer: “NEW MODEL 2010.” Asking for pricing and delivery dates when I spoke with Piaggio today, all I got was an awkward silence followed by, “Uh, yeah, that’s nowhere near market. Most those parts on there are the only ones made.” So this is another mistake like the misnaming of Terblanche’s V12 concepts!? “Ha! Uhmm, yeah. I’m afraid so.”

Intern, whoever you are, just know that a lot of people really really hate you right now. And, uh, be a dear and take that release down, which is still up as of the time of this article publishing. Yeesh.

    All I want are the Arrow Special Parts megaphones… any info on those? Are they an existing design for another make or model? Can they be purchased? Have you seen them on any bikes that is regularly parked on a deserted street? Thanks

      I think they might of used the new Arrow 2/2 pipes from the Triumph Bonneville/Thruxton. Pretty pricey but from what I’ve heard quite nice quality.

        I fitted the mistral cones and cross flow pipe to my v7 cafe, it rips and not too pricey 500 EURO’s delivered.

    Everytime there’s a bike that makes sense, it get the axe. I hope at least they offer the parts to turn a V7 into that bike. Kind of how KTM does the ‘Power Parts’ with their models.

    Awww, that sucks!
    On the other hand now I won´t have to justify paying what would probably have been in the vicinity of 9000€ for a bike that might have a hard time keeping up with some maxi-scooters.

    Actually this is good news because I wanted to pick up a v7 cafe classic anyway, which I would have customized. Knowing that the clubman was just a concept means I won’t have to wait another year before it hits American shores.

    Moto Guzzi need to get it together, if the V7 had of been 1200CC capacity along with this V7 Clubman racer they would have sold millions. Anybody who has been to Italia and dealt with the factory realises management has no idea.

    Well, they did it, at the end. And it had (and still has) a good appeal on the market. They did it in 1000 pieces first series (mine is n. 131) and another 1000 for second series (with new 2012 engine). Not to mention i REALLY love my V7 Racer (“Clubbie” as i called it ;) )
