2011 BMW S1000RR now comes in yellow, silver

The 2011 BMW S1000RR is gaining two new colors, the yellow and very light silver pictured here. It’s not currently clear if these replace other colors or if they’re coming stateside, but we’ve asked and we’ll let you know the answer to that incredibly pressing and important question once we have it.

    I still cant look through the reality of how mucho this bike copied from the r6….
    its just missing the tacky flames from the 08 yellow r6 to give it the final r6 effect. it feels like it has no essence and no character of its own, not that i dont like it, i really like the design of the r6.

    surely when i ride it i will be able to see beyond the non-authentic design

        I think it’s more the tail unit their talking about. I was following an S1000RR on a trackday last week and thought to myself for a couple laps, “man, that R6 if fucking fast on the straights!”

    The yellow bike looks enough like a mutant Yellow Jacket Wasp to scare little kids. Nice, but I liked the Acid Green better. Acid Green looks like shit in pictures, but great in the sun.

    Still an amazing bike, no matter what color it is.

    Nah, I’ve tried in Photoshop, I cannot come up with a colorway I’m happy with. Palmetto green, magenta, deep purple. Nothing works.

    I still like the red white and blue team livery. I’d take the green over the yellow and silver though.

    I’d like a solid shiny (AVUS) black with polished swing arm and other frame parts and think it would look amazing. Maybe even a brilliant blue with all that flat black frame and components would work. We need a site where we can paint bikes and let BMW see them!
