American-Honda-Moto2-Moriwaki.jpgThis is the bike Roger Lee Hayden will ride as a Moto2 wild card entry at the Indianapolis Grand Prix in August. Despite featuring graphics designed by Drudi Performance, an Italian company, this Japanese-made Moriwaki MD600 is as American as it gets, it’s being fielded by American Honda in a team managed by Kevin Schwantz. Hayden’s also getting a set of custom leathers for the event. Bet you can’t guess what colors they are. >

Amerigasm. I just learned a new word.

When he saddles up, I demand they play the Hulk Hogan theme: Real American.

    • Isaac

They should play the ‘Team America:World Police’theme song!

    • http://www.thisblueheaven.com Mark D

YES. Can we just get it over with and adopt that as our new national anthem?

  • emd

My vote is for Hulksters theme song

  • Rex Kwan Do

    Bow to your sensei!

  • jason

they are going to field 40+ riders at indy… that is just sick, and for 9finger rog to be riding this bike …i dunno, seems nutty. maybe he will be able to finish in the top 20-30

  • Come on

Yeah we get it, you’re an American with no taste. Motorcycles and Cars painted with American flag themes are just rotten!

  • TonyS

They should pay the “Greatest American Hero” theme song:

Look at what’s happened to me,
    I can’t believe it myself.
Suddenly I’m up on top of the world,
    It should’ve been somebody else.
    Believe it or not,
    I’m walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free-.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
    Who could it be?
Believe it or not it’s just me.
It’s like a light of a new day-,
It came from out of the blue.
Breaking me out of the spell I was in,
Making all of my wishes come true-.
    Believe it or not,
    I’m walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free-.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
    Who could it be?
Believe it or not it’s just me.

      That’s just mean.

    • Alfonzo

Thanks for planting that horrible song in my head. I’ll be unintentionally humming it for hours. :)

  • Jayson

Ugly. Classic American, Super Size It! Ever heard the term, less is more…?

    • Alfonzo

Go complain to the Italians if you don’t like the scheme. I for one thinks it’s appropriate for a race bike.

    FUCK YEEAHHH!

Seriously though, it might take it a little bit too far and it’s not my cup-o-tea, but there’s nothing like a bit of pride and patriotism now and again.

When have Americans ever been known for their subtlety?

  • http://greatjoballweek.blogspot.com/ Case

    I don’t mind the bike.
    The leathers are barf.

LOVE IT UR LEAVE IT, BUDDY

  • gregorbean

Looks pretty damn good to me. Suck it haterz!!1! Oh and I call a top ten finish for him, if the bike holds up…

  • Patrick from Astoria

It’s not bad. If anything, it’s worlds better than the Bayliss and Hayden special editions that Ducit cranked out recently. Besides, it’s a racebike; if you want tasteful, Count Ago and the MV Agustas are thirty-five years thataway.

I think it looks pretty good! The huge honda wing is pretty awesome.

Would have been really cool as a black and white flag livery though. Maybe black stars and stripes that morph to a checkered flag.

  • Nick

That will be the best looking bike ever to come last in a race.

  • Alfonzo

I dunno… I think RLH has something to prove based off his WSB performance. It will be exciting to watch!

if the next cbr is designed like this and comes with this paint scheme I’ll start collecting motorcycles.
