2010 MV Agusta F4 Vs. Monticello Motor Club

F4vsmonticello.jpgWhen the all-new 2010 MV Agusta F4 first debuted, we balked at numbers that suggested it was actually a step backwards from the previous generation. MV’s case wasn’t helped by a restyle that, in those original press photos, looked nearly identical to Tamburini’s original. Just another transparent grasp for the wallets of the super wealthy? After spending two days riding it around the ultimate rich man’s racetrack, New York’s formerly members-only Monticello Motor Club, we don’t think so.

So, how does it compare to the RSV4 Factory?

Grant was riding the RSV4 and both bikes seemed pretty matched on speed. The MV is wayyyy easier and much smoother and, believe it or not, more flexible too.

Nice article. What’d you think of the STT event itself (organization / safety / other riders)? At 175 for a brand new, technical track, it sounds like a pretty good deal.

Also, it’s hard to tell from the photo angle, but it looks like you’re a little crossed up hanging off in the headline shot. Maybe bring that outside knee to the tank? Although with 160+bhp, it probably takes a pretty high speed lens just to make bystander nit-picking possible!

look pretty much like the same fotos…
