2011 Kawasaki Z1000S: more leaked photos

Dailies, Galleries -

We don’t really know what to say at this point. According to some, we’re the bad guys, picking up embargo-broken material when it’s published. Us? We’re just trying to serve our readers without screwing over Kawasaki. You guessed it, a whole bunch o’ 2011 Kawasaki Z1000S photos have leaked and we’re not hesitating to bring that leaked material to you. You can thank us for our tireless pursuit of practical liter bike pictures later, for now, look at these photos and imagine a power wheelie occurring in complete comfort.

Update: full details.

Here’s the deal: we just got home from a party at the Classic Car Club in which we imbibed a little much in the way of spirits and had a very long and meaningful conversation about the role of speed metal in the future of Hell For Leather. Also, if you have long hair, Vaseline is  totally the answer to your frizz problem; the trick is to use the smallest possible amount that will just wet your hands. And no, it’s totally not gay that you want to feel my hair. So, instead of rehashing details of the Z1000S, you can read our previous article here and read a Google translation of Omnimoto.it, who have published these press shots, here. And yeah, we already have all these photos and info, but we’re trying to play nice with Kawasaki so we can bring you better stories on their bikes in the future. It’s a compromise made in your interest.

Okay. Now I understand what Kawaski was going for: http://tinyurl.com/24tpkzv

    Ninja. Snake Eyes. Green. Black.

They owe Hasbro some licensing fees.

I dunno, that looks more like a ZX-14!

When was the Snake Eyes Ninja Hovercycle invented? Maybe Hasbro own Kawasaki some licensing fees! :O

    • DougD

Hovercycles and motorcycles are completely different, duh.

Well, this time it was Kawasaki themselves that leaked pictures and information. To be more specific, they did not “leak”, but just placed some very nice pdfs at their own press site. There was nothing at their home page to shout about them, you just had to look around to find them. Yesterday we did find them, and published them at http://www.motomag.gr, before anybody else. A Google search showed that we were two hours ahead of some Frenchmen – and from then on, the avalanche just gathered momentum. So stop worrying about who did it – Kawasaki did, and MOTO Magazine just found out about it.

why are you two always together?
couple this with vaseline and long trips in remote areas and things start to get weird

i like the look of the kawi and i think we may just have a new leader in the ongoing “ugliest muffler” competition.

Oh! You can also check out the real Kawasaki W800 at http://www.motomag.gr

      Its all Greek to me.

I just wanted to say I have no qualms with what you did.

Also, I am really digging that slick green color.

  • DougD

I’m all for more speed metal on these pages. If this were 1995, midi Slayer would automatically start when I reach the HFL homepage each day.

Looks to be what Shamu wanted to be, just was proven technology. A kick ass SPORT-tourer.

“Iron Horse” by Motorhead is now stuck in my head.

About damn time we had some metal on HFL. Murilee’s metal references and off-beat topics and Lieberman’s writing hooked me on Jalopnik.

HFL already has the writing and photography (and more the more preferable two-wheeled focus); more metal makes it nirvana. Just not the Seattle kind.

  • seanslides

Speed metal you say? I’m a bit of a connoisseur of that type of thing.

  • MikeD

What?! No Gear Indicator?! How many millions of dollars could this have costed Kawi to have it programed on the stock ECU ?

    • MikeD

Or maybe they ran out of LCD RealState?

  • Pacman

I thought I’d found it! The replacement for my CBR1100XX… Not !!! No ABS, no traction control, no Z1000S for me. I’ll keep the XX. Shamu won’t provide a replacement either. BUT…. nothing wrong with the old girl. You blew it, green. You blew it. At least here in the US. And no, I’m not buying that 700lb pig concourse. If you ever install those features on the ZS…. I may consider…. ’til then…. XX with bars and bags suits me just fine.
