KTM 1190 RC8 R Track: turnkey racer

Fully compliant with FIM Superstock regulations, the KTM 1190 RC8 R Track is the first KTM superbike that’s actually ready to race out of the crate. Based on the KTM RC8 R, that means the 1195cc v-twin makes 180bhp (when equipped with this Akrapovic exhaust) and 91lb/ft. KTM isn’t quoting an official weight, but it’s presumably lower than the RC8 R’s 182kg (dry) number since it ditches that bike’s headlights and other road-legal gear.

This would look great under Mark D’s orange helmet.

Right until I went head-first into the bleachers ;)

I love the look of these KTMs, though. Maybe not the most elegant design, but totally unique.

It also looks seriously Alien-esque without lights — perhaps something Ben 10 would ride if he raced.

If this starts a trend, it’ll be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I first read that as “911Lb/ft” and thought OH YEAH – I”M GOING TO THE MOON!!

    Dang tricky fonts…
