2011 Moto Guzzi Stelvio: 8.5 gallons of go juice

The biggest complaint about the old Stelvio wasn’t that it was cross-eyed, it was the miniscule fuel range. The 2011 Moto Guzzi Stelvio cures that with a 32-liter/8.5-gallon tank that should more than double the existing fuel range to at least 450 miles.

I like the design. But at like 569 lbs. dry, it’ll be tough to guide through a muddy two-track road. I guess that’s where we are now with these elephant adventure touring bikes.

Where do I pick up a nice used Yamaha XT 660 Tenere in the US?

Wow! Piaggio does listen to its customers. Fuel capacity and limited tire selection were the biggest complains.

I own a 2010 Stelvio ABS. The only niggle I had was the fuel range and the 2011 solves that issue. The Stelvio is a superb machine and should be considered by anyone looking in the ‘Adventure’ market.
