Husqvarna Mille 3 Concept: tracker or cruiser?

Dailies, Galleries -

By

Powered by a 930cc, three-cylinder engine created by glueing three Husqy singles together and held together by a steel backbone frame, the Husqvarna Mille 3 Concept is a huge departure for BMW’s dirt bike brand. We’re not quite sure what’s going on here, but we do know that we like it.

wtf?! The bastard child of a Sachs Madass and a Diavel.

Wow that’s hideous. Also, I’m not sure how that makes a triple. Is it a V3 or something?

I think the rear cylinder sits inboard of the front two.

I wonder what the reason for this config is… 90 degrees is balanced for a V4 or V-twin, but I’ve only ever heard of odd numbered V engines on something like a V5 GP engine, and they don’t really give a poop about balance

wtf indeed! Cans both sides??? Looks almost as wide and as long as a car?

  • AGP

Very cool! Looks a bit like a power cruiser dirt bike… :) Interesting take on this style of bike.

WTF is right. It’s hard to even describe what I’m looking at. It looks as if they decided that rather than take the best attributes of 2 bikes, they’ll take the worst?

Take the performance of a Harley and add the comfort of a dirt bike. LOL. There is no way that is going to market in that form.

Looks like a 4-wheeler ATV split in half — right down the middle.

Duh. Guys, I’m so bored with that whole 50/60 Golden-Era Café Racers ubiquity as of late; and when it’s not Café, then it invariably is a tracker of sorts.

I seriously welcome the coming of some 1920 nostalgia in the world of motorcycle design.

Which this thing utterly fails to deliver, by the way.

Reminds me of KRV5 that Roland Sands built a few years ago. Just weirder. And wider than is realistically ridable.

    Okay, thats’ entirely useless.

But at least they’re thinking outside of their normal audience.

It would be nice to see some broadened range, though something useful would be nice.

I like husky’s, I’ve owned a couple. This, I don’t initially like. Maybe if I see it fulfilling whatever purpose it was designed for I’ll come around.

It looks like someones stretched and widened and SM610 in photoshop, then somehow it’s made it all the way to concept stage.

This bike makes a Vespa look like a sexy Lamborghini.

this t h i n g looks absolutely ridiculous. It definitely makes the Diavel look half-decent in comparison.
