Canadian Broadcasting Corporation vs. Hell For Leather

One of the things that makes Hell For Leather unique is that our content doesn’t just appeal to a bunch of dyed-in-the-Cordura motorcyclists, but rather to the world at large too. Need proof that that remains true even under our subscription model? The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation just did a radio interview with me about Expedition: Labrador. Now, they’re hoping more riders will visit. We make motorcycles look good.

This interview originally aired on CBC radio on December 30. Prefer listening to it in Podcast format? It’s available at The CBC.

I am American, I just grew up in England.

Yes, but it’s usually where someone grows up that has the most influence on their accent. I too was surprised not to hear a British accent. How old were you when you lived in the UK?

I went to American military school and my parents speak with American accents. It’s just how I turned out.

Haha, after the interview the host says “you can read more aboot his journey…”

If I ride my bike from rural Quebec to downtown Manhattan in rush hour, I wonder if the CBC will ask me about survival equipment? And what would that be?

Is that snark I detect Michael Uhlarik?

Just for kicks, how about “dyed-in-the-Cordura” motorcyclists?

    • http://hellforleathermagazine.com Wes Siler

Ha, oh man, that’s a doozy.

Awesome. You guys make motorcycles look good – heck yes!

Hoping you will have some more expeditions planned this year.

    Wes,

I am curious. Why did you name the article CBC versus Hell for leather? It seemed like a pretty friendly interview that will increase your Canadian following.
