Speaking during a Q&A at the launch of the factory Yamaha team’s new livery it sounds like Ben Spies knows his place on the team. Could the understudy now be the champion in the future?

    - new livery is a snooze
    - Jorge is still annoying
    - Rossi is still dangerous

    I’m looking forward to seeing what Spies can do this season, but I’m more excited to see what will happen with Rossi on the Ducati. With Ducati leaving WSBK they are going to be very focused on MotoGP – I think Rossi responds well to that kind of pressure. He’s going to do some crazy shit this season, I can feel it. GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I kind of like the JL #1 mash-up.

    Otherwise the AMA R1′s have better livery this year than anything Yamaha has on the world level.

    With a new Ducati superbike slated for 2012—I don’t think 2011′s results are ultra mega important for Ducati, important yes but not end of the world level important.

    I like Jorge and am not so bothered by the lackluster livery. I am, however, really disturbed by that horrible Rockstar hat. It looks so douchey.
    I also think Spies is going to be a contender this year. Should be a good sendoff for the dreaded 800s.

    Ben will make a great champion, there will be a #1 in 1, not some guy’s nanzie panzie initials. Valentino did not have to wear #1 to be #1. Ben is a progressive learner and if he pounds an elbow into Jorge’s ribs… all the better!
