Custom: Blitz Motorcycles Stealth

You’re likely familiar with the 200cc version of the fat-tired Yamaha TW platform, but in Europe, a 125cc capacity is offered, making it learner-legal. That bike forms the basis of Stealth. to create it, France’s Blitz Motorcycles fitted a peanut tank, looped rear subframe and a whole lot of military green powder coating.

There’s also a new, heat-wrapped exhaust with a Supertrapp can, a taillight pulled off a 1940s-era bicycle and the owners name milled into the battery box. The TW is a cheap, simple motorcycle and so’s this custom. Blitz has emphasized the stock bike’s attractive, large rear-tired proportions, ditching the awkward detailing in the process. This isn’t the kind of bike anyone’s going to hang on a wall, instead its a rough and ready to get the snot beaten out of it by Edwin.

My MSF class years ago was on a TW and I really enjoyed the bike. Coming from decades of riding off road, it was a comfortable transition to the tarmac. It didn’t look anywhere near this cool, though.

They have to be the coolest 125cc learner bike I’ve seen here in London. It’s a crying shame the 200cc isn’t available here. It’d be a cheap introduction to modifying for many.

    I like it.

    Fan-fucking-tastic.

It’s like a ruckus, except waaaaaaay cooler.

How about a plain old boring picture of the bike from five feet out, about how I’d look at it if I walked up to it? The artistic pictures are nice, but I’m still not sure what it really looks like since I don’t typically lay down on the ground to look at motorcycles.

That is what I was thinking:

      WES:

Bubble lenses are cool, extreme angles are cool, but how about just 2-3 good side and 3/4 views of these bikes?

Yeah, I know. Blitz shot these themselves and it seems as though it’s actually an art to take good bike photos.

good point joel, i feel the same sometimes. I love the tw200, i learned to use amotorcycle clutch on the off road version of that bike. I am looking ot acquire one to do some similar treatment too as a nice custom.

I’m assuming you made that seat? I gotta find a book or somethin’, I’m trying to do the same low “bench” for my CB…

Nice! I saw that a few weeks ago, before it was complete… you’re at Mahcina, right?

I’m buddies with Jason (w/ the orange honda)

Imagine a motorcycle with serrated foot-pegs and an upright funnel on its crankcase/transmission breather, and an exhaust that sorta looks like a penis scrawled inside the porta-potty at work.
    [am I feelin' crabby?]

    • dux

Sounds like it. But true, that breather is a little silly.

  • th3w3s

    Love it.
