FIM/TTXGP coming to Laguna MotoGP

Dailies -

Electric motorcycle racing will return to Laguna Seca this year on July 23-24 as the recently-announced FIM/TTXGP working together thing bears its first fruit. Joint races will also be held at Donington park on August 20-21 and Le Mans on 24-25 September. This news is primarily exciting for one reason — we’ll be seeing all the big electric bikes on the track at the same time, including the MotoCzysz E1pc, Mission R, Brammo Empulse RR and others.

TTXGP’s first North American race of the season is at Infineon this weekend, click here for discounted tickets.

    SWEEEEETTT!!!!! So excited!!!

  • Ted

    Amarok or Yates?

    • Wes Siler

Ha, well Yates doesn’t race in TTXGP and the Amarok competes with the other 7.5kWh bikes, not the heavyweights.

      • Ted

Forgive me while I wrap my head around an entirely new set of racing classes.

Still though, race needs more Yates lunacy.

        • Brammofan

I believe there will be plenty of lunacy to go around, but thanks for the LOL of the day.

I knew I should have splurged for Laguna tickets instead of being economical and go ti Miller. Oh well. Racin’s racin’.

  • Thom

Hmmn . The sound of Revving …….. Nothing ! Slithering around the track .

    I’ll pass

    To use a Stroker McGurk quote ;

” If it aint LOUD . It AINT racin “

I was disappointed when, a few weeks ago, there were no TTXGP races scheduled for Laguna Seca. Last years weird race was much less exciting than just walking around the pits and chatting with the down-to-earth folks about the burgeoning tech. I asked the engineer from MotoCyzzxczzzzxxxx all sorts of stupid questions that he kindly answered. Some great people involved there and with most of the TTXGP racers. Glad it’s gonna happen in 2011.

p.s. Why did you guys pull the J.T. Nesbitt article? I love that kind of editorial.

    • Wes Siler

He wanted to change something, it’ll be back up later.

  • Azhar

Thanks guys for all the support. Look forward to meeting some of you at Laguna.

Now if we could just fix up an epic 2011 world final…hmmmmmm ;)
