Party: The Art of The Cycle

Located in Long Beach, Jet Studios is usually a graphic design studio. Last Saturday they invited a few hundred bikers and rolled up their huge garage doors for Art of the Cycle. The open bar was stocked with drinks provided by Imperial and Sailor Jerry, but somehow Wes got his hands on some Four Loko. Art work included an impressive Jeff Decker sculpture and photography by Sherman Thomas. Bikes leaned more toward the old-school chopper side of things. Hog Killers had a wild bike on display that more than made up for it’s lack of a front brake with awesome turquoise, tan and red paint. Lossa Engineering held up the cafe racer side of things with an amazingly well done SR500 that was sporting modern brakes, works shocks and clean white paint with a red stripe. There were at least 3 burnouts, 4 pizzas, a few fights and a furious game of kick that cup before they finally closed the door and kicked us out.

            That and only one of the two has a man crush. The other had his fantasy destroyed within days of the move in.

      Never again. All he wanted to do was wrestle. As if Sherman hadn’t had enough after crashing that day in Azusa, Wesley Loko (not to be confused with Wesley Sparx) kept tackling him.

      I took a gamble and went with the four loko, I’ll play it safe next time.
