With a new HiPo Ducati coming out this fall, the other Italian superbike makers are rushing to up power, drop weight and add electronics in order to compete. This official teaser video shows the 2012 MV Agusta F4 RR, a bike which the company has told dealers will make 198bhp thanks to a new short-stroke “Corsocorta” motor which ups power from 186bhp on the stock 2010 MV Agusta F4. The price for more power from higher revs? €30,990.
During that European dealer meeting, MV also revealed that the RR will be available in either matte white or matte red and, as you can see here, the trellis frame is apparently painted red. Over the regular F4, suspension is upgraded from Sachs to Ohlins with the SBK-spec TTX36 shock visible at the rear.
