Who’s Fastest now?

Dailies -

Looks like Mark Neale is having a busy year. The same filmmaker that brought you “Faster,” “The Doctor, the Tornado and The Kentucky Kid” and this year is debuting electric motorcycle racing documentary “Charge” is premiering his new MotoGP film “Fastest” in Cannes as we speak. Covering the 2010 and 2011 seasons, Ewan McGregor narrates the story of Valentino Rossi’s attempt at an eighth World Championship and Jorge Lorenzo’s attainment of his first. Here’s the trailer.

Can’t wait for this. When’s US release?

Really looking forward to this release. I still go back and watch “Faster” now and then, even though my copy looks like it was taped on a used VHS. All I can say is thank god for HD.

Me, too. Faster is awesome. Watched it with the lady awhile back and now she mentions Rossi from time to time. My heart swoons just that much more.

For her, not for Rossi. But that’s just because I don’t have a shot with the stallion.

I CAN’T wait for this film. Marks work is good.

  • casey

    can not WAIT!

The only way Rossi was chasing his tenth WC was if you count all classes. That means Lorenzo couldn’t have been chasing his first, he had two in 250cc.

Please correct this, as it unnecessarily adds to all the Rossi nut-riding.

^Obviously still pissed about Jerez, especially with all the bullshit that happened at Lemans. Respol can’t catch a break, unless you count having the fastest bikes and fastest riders as a “break”.

    • Myles

Thanks for the correction, much appreciated.

Awesome. I plan on picking up Charge tomorrow (payday). If there is one film set that I will always buy over Netflixing, it’s Marks. Shit is goddamn awesome.

surprises me how few comments all the motogp posts get on this site.

people aren’t that into moto racing, huh?

    • Eric

Only between Nesbitt and Victory . . .

I think it’s that this is uniformly seen as pretty cool, no controversy, no reason to post.

      • Myles

There’s huge controversy, read my post above.

  • Robert

    No conchos? Cripes man…

  • Scott-jay

Lead photo highlights ergo-differences between riders.
Controversy is part of racing scene.
    Rossi abides.

Agreed. While I shouldn’t be reading HFL while on conference calls, the guitar intro scared the crap out of me and raised a question or two.

“Sorry, this is just more interesting than the call.”
