A lap of Laguna aboard the Mission R

At yesterday’s REFUEL zero emissions time trial event, Steve Rapp put the Mission R around Laguna Seca in 1:43.7 (unofficial). The previous record of 1:44.4 (official) was held by Michael Czysz and his 2010 MotoCzsyz E1pc. The two bikes, along with the Brammo Empulse RR, will likely race at Laguna at the TTXGP on MotoGP weekend. Here’s that lap.

I say this all the time but screw the haters. Electric bikes (and cars) are pretty amazing.
I’m going to Laguna again this summer and I’m excited to see them run again.

That noise makes me feel like Han Solo making the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.

      Fourth for the penultimate!

I agree. The bikes are dope. We need more.

      Nope.

It could be a work firewall or something along those lines.

I’m having a problem with this on Google Chrome, but only at work. Like Wes, I suspect it has something to do with web blockers.

Is there some way to get Chip Yates’ bike to look this bad-ass?

  • Adam

They did not black flag him for the noise? LOL
