Sitting down? Good. Swallow your coffee, clear any potential choke hazards, take a deep breath and cover your eyes. Then hit play. That? That’s what it feels like when your sphincter constricts sympathetically.

The rider is Isle of Man native Dan Kneen aboard a 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R during this year’s Senior TT. As you can see, he was able to recover, finishing the race in 12th place.

Keith Amor wasn’t so lucky. Here, he reconstructs an accident he had on a partially damp Mountain Course.

Thanks for the tip, Mat.

WOW! Would’ve liked to see the complete footage of him getting a hold of it again and riding out. Cameraman sure was spooked as was I watching it!! When in Doubt…throttle out!!!!

    • Pete

I 2nd. Does anyone know what he did there to recover? Stayed on the throttle a bit? I mean I know what I would’ve done… jumped off and hoped for the best.

        held on and prayed?

Looks like staying on the throttle is what caused it; rear wheel left the ground, just started spinning, then threw the whole bike into a death-roll. Scary.

  • zipp4

    Haha… “not ideal.”

  • ktaisa

    Holy balls

i think camera man was more scared than the rider

No. The cameraman was spooked. The rider had the shakes after.

  • jwinter

I love to see people pull stuff like that back in. Brilliant.

  • Coreyvwc

Can anyone else see this video on their iPhone?

    • GoFasterPB

      Not me. Guessing it’s flash.

  • T Diver

That happen to me this morning on my way to work.

    • Karl

      Genius

  • aadmanz

I wonder what the traction control made of that.. :-)

  • carcanal

i want an interview with the rider after the fact.

    • eric

Here’s how it would have gone:

Reporter: How did you manage to pull that one off?

Dude: Psssh that was nothing, do it all the time. I need a beer.

  • Chris

Every Isle of Man TT racer should stick a lump of coal in their ass because if they should happen to have a moment like that they’ll pull out an incredible diamond.

      LOL nice!

      It’s funny because it’s true!!

  • Zach

Man, full race gear is awesome. Slide maybe 100 feet starting at 60 mph (?), and immediately transition into walking away in disgust.

  • Wayne

The Isle of ‘Oh Man’….my God.

  • matt

Isn’t there some anti-something setting to dial that kind of thing out?

  • Nate

I was watching the long IOM video on the laptop last night on silent with my wife next to me on the couch.

After 10 event-free minutes, that little gem played and screamed like a little girl…wife thought I hurt something just sitting there.

  • Tony

I was describing the race to my wife and turned my head for a moment and when I turned back I finished my sentence with “… and that’s what they’re HOLY FUCKING SHIT”

I don’t think it helped her think my motorcycle career is a good idea.

I love Whits comment after. “He’ll want to stop I think and have cup of sweet tea will Dan.”

“Eye lad nowt a cuppa or a good shite won’t fix”
