15,000rpm redline. Three cylinders. 140bhp. Counter-rotating crankshaft. Three exhaust outlets. This is the first time we’ve heard an MV Agusta F3 running. It sounds good. Very good.

Giovanni Castiglioni himself rolled this prototype out at an MV Agusta owners gathering in Italy this week. The €11,500 F3 is scheduled to enter production in September.

I’m actually a little surprised at how much it doesn’t sound like a Daytona 675.

    damn that sound snice

I think it has a little less whine/whistle than from the gear driven balancer in the Triumph 675, which is good. I love the triple.

Sounds a bit too loud for a bone stock road legal bike…

  • Kyle

    I love it…

    next bike? next bike.

Curious about the insurance cost relative to something like a zx6r or Daytona. Will probably be a bigger difference within two years than the msrp due to new model shock + Italian + low production numbers.

    Stupid insurance.

    Man that is gorgeous though.

It was whispering. “Ride me!” “Ride me fast!”
And that cockpit… Oh! Begging for me to squeeze it with my knees.
It’s going to be a long, hot summer.

I’m a little curious as to how exactly the counter rotating crankshaft works. I also wonder if this will influence Triumph to introduce improvements in the power department to the Daytona / Street Triple. Competition is great for the consumer and this looks like a hot little bike!

I’m not a sportbike fan, but I want to marry this

I thought I wanted one before I knew what it sounded like…

What I love most about the videos is the constantly changing exposure.

I was expecting a more fruity noise… maybe the videos just aren’t the best, very difficult to capture bike noises well on consumer grade equipment as well. Will have to wait until I see one in person or they start putting out some good quality promo vids I guess…
