While the 2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000 and 2012 Suzuki GSX-R750 may have been anticlimactic, these pictures remind us that Suzuki isn’t so much about scarcely-updated new models as it is about winning races. Going into the final World Endurance Championship race of the year, team SERT’s GSX-R is leading BMW’s factory S1000RR by 9 points and the third place Kawasaki ZX-10R by 27. Maybe its the headlights or the simple, brutal utility, but there’s something very, very neat about endurance bikes.

    There’s always a beauty to raw effectiveness; we are definitely into “I’m just, and only, purposeful” territory here. Take that, everybody else: the look of success isn’t what the drones @ marketing dept think it is.

    …oh, and Wes, if you’re going to fit in living in LA, you need to spell “tires” with an “I”. You’re slipping into your home habits… next thing we know you’ll be adding an extra syllable to that light silvery metal used for the frame on that very cool bike. ;)

    Endurance is cool.

    Suzuki beat BMW twice this year and vice versa. Quite narrow.

    Interesting: Ducati made only points in one race (out of four) and Aprilia made no points at all during the whole championship. These guys make incredible bikes, but do they last?

    For sure Suzuki is the king of endurance races since many, many years.

      I agree. I hear ’24 Hours of Suzuka” and I instantly think GSXR.

    I’m not a, “horizon must be straight” kind of photographer…but the tilt on most of the stationary shots are just ridiculous.
