A Biaggi rep for teenagers

Back in 2010, Aprilia released a Biaggi replica RSV4. It made 200bhp and cost €50,000. Only a handful were ever made. Slightly more accessible is this Aprilia RS4 125 replica being made by Aprilia UK. It makes 15bhp and costs just £4,299, bringing with it a Pirelli Diablo Rosso IIs, wavy discs and a quickshifter as standard. Might sound like all that pales in comparison, but if I were 17, a bike like this would literally be the stuff of dreams.

    Nice looking bike! Though, a Ninja 250 is a heck of a lot cheaper.

    A Ninja 250 ain’t learner legal here. Where that thing is, probably wouldn’t have one over a YZF-R125 but just look at it – much cooler than any scooter or boring CG Honda.

    Ah to be 17 again, I would be up to my neck in fine poon with one of those things.

    I started on a RS50. Of course I woke up the motor with a 70cc “big bore” kit. It was a blast – you were in 3rd gear after 100ft. But it didn’t look this good. But I would still take the KTM Duke 125 first. USA please

      Saw one the other day (duke 125), with the akrapovic exhaust, pretty nice sound for a 125.
      I’d also take it over the Aprilia if i was 16.

    I dont know exactly what kind of bike it was but I remember back when I was 9 or 10, in the late 80′s, a high school aged guy up the street had some sort of race replica looking 80cc bike. I remember thinking he was the coolest guy ever. He also had a Skyway T/A BMX bike, wore Vision Street Wear and rocked a sweet mullet.

    Anyway – This would be a freaking godsend in high school…well this, and free internet porn. Kids have it so easy now.

      You are forgetting that when we were in high school, kids actually rode bikes and did other outdoors stuff. Now they’re generally glued to one form or another of Modern Warfare or whatever they’re playing these days.

        Don’t lose hope, Archer. Many kids sitting indoor playing video games would love to ride a motorcycle, given the chance, but they’re in households that forbid it. So, they wait until they’re out and then get the right push. It’s a dang common trend.

        I hate the outdoors. Mostly because I’m allergic to everything. Flipping’ allergies are brutal this year. But I love riding. And video games.

    This, this is what the CBR 250R and ninja 250 should look like. Make a 250 that looks just like it’s big brothers, how fucking hard is that to do?

      I think the CBR 250 is Honda’s best-looking sport bike. My eye for sport bike aesthetics isn’t the best, but the Yclops look works for me in ways the usual two-headlight front end just does not.

    I miss the 30-horsepower two-stroke. They still sell it in Korea, but 7,000,000 KRW is a bit… spendy.

    I know, learner regulations, safety, accessibility, yeah, yeah, yeah…

        It’s less powerful as well. Still, it’s better for the environment this way, more usable on the road, and will better serve as an introduction to motorcycling given the UK’s learner regulations.

        Sigh…

      +1 I came here to say the same thing. I miss the two-strokes, and I miss the 19.5k RPM, four cylinder CBR250R.

    If it’s as fun as 125s in limited production back in 2010, it’s a pretty frikken fun bike! Way more thrill factor than the Ninja 250 (back then, anyway).

    Am I the only one who is bothered by Aprilia’s choice to release additional models with a very similar aesthetic to the RSV4R? I believe this bike and the enduro model all have the same double front light, intake, fairing layout, etc. and this is just a revision of the RSV4R design. To me this not only devalues the Superbike, but represents a lack of sophistication and capability of Aprilia to produce unique, independent designs as they have done in the past.

    I understand why you would produce a 125 to look like the Superbike, but multiple models… Come on Aprilia- you make incredible bikes- dress them as individual models rather than putting them in a Uniform.
