What Audi and Ducati look like together

Tasked with developing social content around the breaking acquisition of Ducati by VW, an Audi marketing intern dashed out of HQ this morning, parked a Diavel next to an R8 and snapped these pics. Man, are they going to look good on Ferdinand Piech’s Facebook timeline too. “Life Event: Bought Ducati. Suck it Quandt.”

    A Diavel? You have your stunning flagship sportscar as a backdrop, and you choose the Diavel to pose next to it? Was an 1199/1198/999/916 or any other iconic Ducati sportbike not available? Even the Sport Classic would have made for better coming-out pictures IMO.

      I would have preferred the Panigale. Forward looking and all that. In the interest of maintaining a casual fan relationship with the R8 and the Audi brand in general (the cars are overpriced but they are gorgeous, A7 excepted), I’m going to ignore these photos. In related news, the Diavel can suck it.

    Uggh – its like the fat kid posing next to a supermodel.
    Is it just me or does it seem like the Diavel and street fighter models get more marketing time the further away you get from a motorcycle only demographic and more towards the general public? I feel like Ducati is trying to appeal more to the generic “west coast choppers” consumers strictly for marketshare and it kinda pisses me off.
