TT-Zero

How frustrating is it when the world changes and the bizarre twists of sports licensing don’t let you see it happen? Well, thanks to the miracle of the interwebs, you can now witness history, just one day later. Here’s complete ITV4 race coverage of this year’s record-breaking TT Zero race.

Take down notice in 5…4…3… Or, maybe not. Thanks for putting this up!

  • mcfaite

Err, what did John McGuinness just say?

  • Your_Mom

Yes. Thanks for posting. Great news.

  • zipp4

I understood about 3 words that McGuiness said.

    Moto-shizzz… aww yeah.

Good stuff. That bike looks fantastic in motion. Senor McPint will have it next year if he gets more laps on that Mugen.

Haha, yeah I didn’t think that’s how it was pronounced. But it looks to be the shizz anyway!

Motoczysz only 220kg? That’s really not bad… Starting to get more excited for electric sportbikes, starting to look like that’s what my next new bike purchase will be.

I’m having a “Holy shit Motoczysz is going against Honda,” moment. This is huge. Honda obviously has a ton of money and established engineers at their disposal but I wonder what the actual team around this bike consists of. I’m really glad MotoCzysz took home first place and is getting the press. Next year I hope it’s a repeat.

The revised-bodywork E1PC looks f’ing amazing. I love it. And as amazing as the Czysz bike is, I like how Honda recruited McGuinness and jumped in to the mix. Here’s hoping we get trickle-down effect sooner rather than later.

For those of us in the U.S. getting shafted by non-coverage, I learned from the ADVRider thread that you can install a little program called Expat Shield and watch the coverage replays in ITV4′s ITV Player. I’ve been listening to live radio on Manx TT 365′s app, and then watching ITV when I get home from work. It’s great stuff and it makes me sad that we can’t get decent TV coverage of good racing here…

(Added bonus, after a week of TT watching, you can start to understand all these guys when they talk… Even Guy Martin!)

There’s also Pirate Bay for BBC Sport. I use BTGuard to hide my activity.

Boy, the difference in MotoGP coverage between Speed and BBC Sport, is like the difference between a Harley and an RCV-213…

87-104m/m about a 20%increase in 4 years. Though only about 4% this year so increments are still comming say a big push by Honda/Mugen should see 110m/h next year.
The motors are there just battery weight and controllers now.

    • Kyle

Very true, and actually there is about 30-50lbs that Motoczysz can loss in the motor right too. It sounds like they are working on just that in the year to come. I think it is very possible to have a 110-115mph lap with the technologies available right now, just requires a lot of optimizing.

Thanks, that was a treat. Worth the price of admission(subscription) many times over !!

Great to hear the commentary of the announcers being impressed with the bikes and speed. The future is (almost) now!

  • DoctorNine

For those of us who don’t use Facebook, is there another way to see this besides this ‘Blip’ format? Or is this now going to be the new HFL standard?

  • TheZakken

    For Czysz-le

Ah ha! Had to read that a few times

Be careful with downloading Expat Shield. Microsoft and Sage products don’t like it much…
