As the 197bhp Horex VR6 Roadster nears production, the company has put together a short video of it in…well, we won’t call it action. Still, it’s a good chance to grab a couple of audio bites of what six-cylinder squashed into the space of four and displacing 1,200cc will sound like.

And in case you missed our previous Horex coverage, here’s a video explaining that whole VR funkiness:

I like the sound, it’s unique and growly. At first blush the engine look surprisingly tall for a concept that’s all about reducing size.

Oh joy, another stock exhaust sound bite. After the catalyzers and euro3 compliant mufflers it sounds just like every other generic motorcycle…

Yeah, didn’t sound all that exciting to me either. If I wanted a bike that was a bit different and sounded unique, I’d start looking at the Motus…

      For such a boring sounding engine, you’d hope it’s a real ball-tearer…

That induction(or cam chain whistle?) is pretty nice. Drop the friggin’ early 90′s synth-pop please, Germany! Maybe some Hasselhoff instead.

That whine is probably the supercharger, I can’t hear the video at work now.

Oh yeah, I forgot it was S/C’d

Hmm, other reports state the supercharged 197hp version is on hold & that this is the naturally aspirated 160hp model which will see production first.

That low to the ground shot of him riding around the parking lot in a circle really got the adrenaline going.

That being said, looks alot more fun than a bonneville. With 197bhp you can tour the country in record time.

Ah yes, another bike with the kind of hyper power we can’t really use on the roads.
Great vid on the engine design.

I like how the guy gets off the bike in the middle of no where, checks it out, and then magically disappears. Maybe they are implying that it was too much bike and he is now just a ghost remembering the ride?

Gated reverb on drums needs to be banned
