Even though the “192” horsepower Ducati 1199 Panigale is only dynoing rear wheel horsepower in the mid 150s, it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that it’s faster than the 611bhp Porsche 911 GT2 RS, even when said land yacht is piloted by DRIVE’s Chris Harris. Still, it’s good to remind cagers what’s what every now and then.

That was way longer than it needed to be but entertaining none the less.

I’m sure most of us live a scaled down version of this everyday.

Dynojet numbers were 172 HP and 85 Lbs/ft from our full Termi equipped 1199S at over 80°F and 80% humidity.

That’s a bit more than 150ish, even stock.

The few places I’ve looked, like Moto-USA and Motorcycle.com dynoed the stock bike at 162-164.

That jives with what I’ve seen. For shame ducati, for shame. BMW and Kawasaki quit lying (so much) about their numbers, it’s time Ducati did too.

“Is that HP at the crank or the wheel?”

          “The brochure…”

            Yes, BHP; Brochure Horse Power.

I could listen to that bike, and that car, all day.

Chris Harris has managed to make a drag race last longer than Justin Lin or Vin Diesel?? That’s even possible?!
