Win this limited edition Bell Star Carbon helmet

Dailies, Galleries -

Want to win this sweet ass Bell Star Carbon helmet, complete with extremely limited edition paint that commemorates the US Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca? Tell us about your reading preferences in this survey and you’ll be entered to win.

Correction: We stated incorrectly that the helmet is a size L. Due to the nature of Bell’s promotion, the size cannot be determined ahead of time.

What we’re giving away, in conjunction with Bell, is a size Large Star Carbon with the paintjob you see here. I handled this helmet in person yesterday and the quality of the paint is impeccable. I’ve also reviewed the new, Snell M2010-compliant Bell Star Matte Carbon, and find it to be comfortable, extremely well ventilated and get compliments on how nice it looks nearly every day. It’s finally the helmet that puts Bell on-par with Arai and Shoei.

This is super easy, just fill out this survey, include your full name and email address at the end and we’ll draw a winner at random Thursday, August 2, 2012 when the contest ends.

Here’s the survey.

This isn’t the only way to win this helmet either. If you’re attending MotoGP this weekend, then just visit the Bell Helmets exhibit to test your virtual mettle in Bell’s road racing video game competition. Each day’s overall will win one of these helmets.

Here’s some small print so we don’t get sued:

why there is no HFL in first question?? :)

    • Wes Siler

We’ll assume you already read HFL.

    • smoke4ndmears

HFL has as much reason to be in that list as Casey Stoner does racing in the V&H XR1200 series.

  • Case

It might be the liquor talking but that helmet looks fucking awesome.

  • Kevin

Will HFL be sharing some of the results of this survey?

I would find it very interesting.

    • noone1569

      I hope so.

  • Ben W

Good luck with the results of the survey.

Want! Could replace my crashed day of the dead lid!

  • Van Doan

I forgot to put check out german bike mags for inspiration. Hardly any ads, 6-7 multi length expose, bike variety, and glorious glorious photos, everywhere. Oh, and no shitty paper subscription postcard craps.

  • Miles Prower [690 Duke, MTS 1200]

In my survey answers, I forgot to mention that I’d like to see more articles and reader discussion about proper riding technique. A dozen years of riding — and I still feel like there are countless things to learn.

Also, more analysis of safety gear. I even appreciate the past articles about hipster-approved safety gear, even though that’s not up my alley.

    • David Howland

Totally agreed here. (to both parts)

I feel like motorcycling is like golf: easy to pick up the basics but you’ll spend the rest of your life learning and perfecting your game.

I actually spent a while reading past articles after subscribing just for the gear reviews. Both my roommate and I base a lot of decisions on HFL content.

  • stempere

Why is the raffle limited to US residents?
I’m an S size but i wouldn’t mind being able to enter anyway…

    • stempere

Anyway, my contribution would be useless, i’ve never been to any of the sites in the survey, i think you’re the only american publication i follow regularly.

The helmet is gorgeous, congrats to the lucky bastard that gets it.

  • damien

Yeah, classy looking lid for sure.

  • Scott-jay

Entrants deserved free subscription month for just for giving away small trove of demo & personal data.
Now, in italics, read its size L: too small.

  • Triman023

    OK Survey completed.
    Let the spam deluge begin…

  • Glenngineer

I need this helmet, I lost mine when I hit the deck pretty hard on Friday. I actually won’t need it for 8-12 weeks, until my collarbone and all these ribs are solid again:G

    • damien

Ouch. I actually need it as a replacement too. I went down at a track day in NH. last Friday. I had only worn my new Arai a couple of times…damn.

      • Jesse

        NH Motor Speedway?

  • Zaron Gibson

A guy posted on Reddit yesterday that he won this. He’s a lucky man.
