For a brief time earlier today, German accessories maker Wunderlich published these detailed artist renderings of the 2013 BMW R1200GS on its website. Upgrades like that LED horseshoe, liquid-cooling and radial Brembos have been expected/teased, but did anyone think the bike would veer this close to its predecessor?

The GS is due for its official unveiling at the Intermot show in Cologne this week. Check back here every day for comprehensive coverage.

I forget where I read this, but these images are sort of a Wunderlich, “what if we did?,” rather than a truly accurate representation of the model.

Yeah but the fact that they removed them does point to the fact that they must be close to the real thing…

I love the GS and consider it a nearly perfect bike.

    Where’d my comment go?

Welcome to the “my mildly critical comment was deleted club.” Cheers!

        This club sucks.

        Lame.

Yep, same here. I am concerned. Critical comments can be some of the most important to discuss and air.

    Hmm…comments about old news deleted?

Heeyyy! Agreed, also isn’t the title a bit misleading?

“Check back here every day for comprehensive coverage.”
      Old news, or familiar cliches?

My children grew. Relegated to standing-by, they seemed prone to poor choices. Looking back, I was sarcastic too often. : )

Glenngineer, now that your original post has been deleted, I agree with you.

Hummm…this time around it looks like BMW was inspired by the Triumph explorer 1200 with it’s more angular lines…

    • Nick

      My first thought as well…

It’s not a BMW though. It’s a drawing by someone from Wunderlich.

Hah! Nice HFL emblem on the sidecase and front of the engine:) Does this always happen and I just miss it?
