For Ducati, Intermot’s all about color

Dailies, Galleries -

No new Ducati models at Intermot this year (we’ll have to wait for EICMA for those new 820cc Hypers), but there are new colors for existing models. The Diavel gains striking red and blue versions with white stripes and wheels in addition to a murdered-out matte black edition, the Monster pays homage to its 20th anniversary with a version that’s fitted with red paint and a gold frame (trust us, good combo), the 1199 gains an all-white version and there’s now a Ducati 848 Evo Corse in team testing colors, which apparently means black on raw aluminum. All in all, very striking and very restrained. Nice on Ducati.

Here’s the photo gallery.

I know (hope) it’s about to get replaced, but that black/grey 848evo is sex. Might be in the market for one of those when the new one comes out and the dealers are trying to move last year’s 848s

Gold and red is the new black and gold.

    Love that Monster.

The Diavel looks even more cartoon-like in colors and racing stripes.

They even managed to make the Diavel look “cute”! That takes talent.

White Panigale = take my money.

Aren’t they kinda stepping on MV Agusta’s toes with that red/gold Monster? It looks good to me, but it seems like the Italian version of painting a Honda in Kawasaki green. Assuming my memory isn’t failing me, of course.

1993 Ducati Monster, hence the “20 year” model’s colors.

The diavel is like that odd girl who actually looks way better in real life than she photographs.

Is this the first time anyone has seen a red and gold Ducati? Those are the first colors I think of whenever I hear the name Ducati.
