    Whoa. Check out how bulbous the headlight area looks in the side profile…

      That bulbous headlight can also be seen on the 636 and the gsxr. Not sure why OEM’s are doing that to their bikes. Aerodynamic reasons maybe.

    It seems the trend right now with the sport bike market is this : If it ain’t broke, fix it and make it uglier.

    I mean geeze, people are always making the statement that the R6 is long in the tooth, but all these new models we’re seeing make it look quite refreshing in relation; makes me worried if Yamaha will follow suit and make the R6 uglier as well like they did with the R1.

    I am going to step out on a limb here and say…”I like it!”. And this is coming from a guy who just sold his 2008 Phantom Black 675 SE (and then bought a wonderfully hideous B-KING). The 675′s are brilliant. I never had a boring ride on mine. This will be my next sportbike.

    It had sexy projector headlights, and they changed it to shitty generic cheap ones? WHY?!?!?!

      Wow, you are right. I sort of think the larger normal lamps look better from the front, but the projectors just seemed like such an integral part of the 675 that their loss makes it feel so much more like a Big 4 bike.

    It’d be a really powerful marketing campaign if users were allowed to vote on aesthetics for a model. I understand there’s some hurdles there, but from what I’ve been seeing with manufactures lately, there isn’t alot to lose. Just a thought. Feel free to vote on this idea right here.

    I thought the previous 675R was one of the best looking race replica bikes. This one seems to be following Triumph’s desire to make their line look just like the Nippon bikes. What a shame. I’m sure it rides fine but, as with the Street Triple, it looks much worse.

      I agree, Tim. The original Striple, in my opinion, was one the best bikes money could buy. I took one on a test ride once and just giggled the whole time.

    Why is Triumph selling out like this? I absolutely love bikes that are different, have character, and turn heads. The last Daytona did exactly that! This looks like another Jap bike….except uglier. C’mon Triumph! You can do better than this.
