Touratech reviews the Yamaha Super Tenere

“Well, it’s not the ultimate BDR machine,” says Touratech’s Paul Guillien. “But, it’s something that’s very fun on dirt, and works well when riding two-up or street touring.” Those comments, made after riding the bike 700 miles along the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route, back up our own thoughts on the Yamaha Super Tenere. “It’s totally capable and you can have a lot of fun on the bike, just like I did on this trip.”

Pretty much confirms what i noticed about it when i rode it.

It’s a really good bike, especially for the price point. Essentially, it’s a cheaper and just as well built GS. It’s great for Touring, but not geared as much towards offroad as a 990 Adventure or such.

Good video, though. Damn expensive Touratech stuff, though :P

Sounds like it’s the ‘big-comfy pre-runner truck’ of motorcycles.
