Double amputee rides again

In 1990, Alan Kempster was in a hit and run accident with a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle. As a result of the accident, he had to have his right leg and arm amputated. He started racing his motorcycle as a double amputee at 48 years old in order to prove himself and, in his first race, he came home with a first place trophy.

Alan is a prime example of how anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Look for a feature on Alan coming soon to HFL.

A good friend of mine was paralyzed in a dust storm when an elderly woman was blinded and hit him. He’s now working on his second modified bike for touring. It’s amazing.
