Not sure what kind of bike is in the last photo, but it looks pretty uncomfortable…
It’s sufficiently comfortable for the 1/4 mile journey for which it is exclusively constructed.
Land speed records are measured over the flying mile, so considerably longer than a quarter mile is needed if one is traveling over 300 + MPH.
The rider wears padded steel britches and is spot-welded to the seat to ensures he is not blown off.
I’m not sure if you’re pulling my leg or not…
That’s OK. I’m not sure if I’m pulling my leg.
Very cool. Thanks for the link!
What Jimmy said.
The last photo on the first page clearly has four wheels and is a car. What is this, DriveApart???
It’s one giant tire to handle 1000+ HP from two tuned Rocket III engines and speeds approaching 400 mph. Respect.
Those four blue circle things sure look like wheels to me
Thy tongue sir, is seen to be most firmly planted in thy cheek.
You mean it is powered by even more of the same engine that powers this? Cor….
Damn, would love to have gone to this-didn’t realize it was happening. It’d be great to see some articles on up and coming events so peeps can get out there! I saw a lot of media buzz on the Bike Shed show in London before the event took place, maybe adding a quarterly “What’s Coming Up” feature to the content calendar would be good to drive consumers to events?! That Yam street tracker looks awesome!!
