The CBR1000RR measures 2,080mm stem to stern, has a 1,410mm wheelbase
and an 820mm high seat. It looks like the 2010 VFR1200 is quite a bit
longer, about the same height (although the screen is much higher and the riding position is more upright) and has a slightly lower, but much larger
seat. We're going to hazard a guess that the VFR skews much more
towards the comfy hyper sports end of the market, with rivals like the
BMW K1300S, Suzuki Hayabusa and Kawasaki ZX-14 than it does the full-on
tourer. Will it be able to capture the hearts and soothe the achy
joints of VFR enthusiasts the world over? We'll have to wait until its
fall unveiling to find out.
