According to The New York Times, Alpinestars now ranks number five on the list of brands that turn up the most on American broadcast television. The statistic comes from Nielsen and dates from the first half of 2007. First on the list was Coca-Cola.

Alpinestars has a successful history of placing its motorcycle and auto racing technical apparel and casual line in the hands of racers and celebrities. The Times goes on to point out that product placement is growing increasingly prevalent in American media, amid growing pressure for government regulation.
