Is it just us or, in addition to now having some of the coolest graphics around, has KTM really raised the bar for press photos too? Sure, the oranges are oversaturated, but we can't think of another manufacturer that packages such well-shot hoonage into its official communications. So the 2009 Super Duke R is a fitting subject for the first article to employ our new photo gallery system. Scroll through the images above using the arrows, click the thumbnails you want to look at, and then click the main images to make them larger. The pictures will expand up to 1250px, you can then right-click to save them if you resemble John Hodgeman, or just drag them to your desktop if you're more the Justin Long type. >

Other than the fancy new colors, the Super Duke R is unchanged for 2009. The same 130bhp, 75lb/ft 999cc v-twin drives 186kg of wheelie-prone dry weight, while 48mm fully adjustable WP forks and a WP monoshock do their best to keep everything in line. In addition to that suspension, there's a fancy CroMoly trellis frame that weighs just 9kg and a steering damper to separate it from the non-R version. Fans of naked V-twin thrills need look no further. Well, at least till the Ducati Streetfighter S arrives in May.
