For such a tiny brand, MV is really getting diverse with its product range, huh? Its next bike is going to be a Diavel-style performance cruiser equipped with the firm’s 800cc, inline-three motor. Judging by these photos, styling’s going to be…out there.
As is typical with these things, the shots appear to have been leaked by MV Agusta itself and carefully cropped and composed to show both the name and low, Diavel-style seat arrangement. And that zany taillight of course.
Where the 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 800 is a performance roadster complete with a very short wheelbase and very steep rake angle, expect this cruiser-style counterpoint to go longer, lower and more relaxed, without completely diluting the riding experience.
In that Brutale, the motor makes 125 bhp and 59 lb.-ft. of torque. There’s no official word on what state of tune the Dragster will arrive in, but cruiser convention would suggest the power and torque curves shift down the rev range to make them broader and more accessible.
We’re still waiting on last year’s new MVs to make it to U.S. shores, so don’t expect to see a Dragster cruising the strip at Sturgis anytime soon.
